Dial-in tips for the Rancilio Silvia

1

Classic single boiler, no PID.

2

Temp surfs even more widely than Gaggia Classic Pro — can go 88–100°C.

3

PID mod (Auber 2-line, Rancilio PID) is very common.

4

Without PID: strict temp surfing required — flush 2–3 oz after steaming, wait 45–60 seconds before pulling.

5

With PID: can give precise temp targets.

6

Grind is primary variable.
