Pull the shot. See how it compares to your best. Get one clear thing to try next. Grindset is the espresso companion that remembers what worked.
Built by a home barista, for home baristas.
A note from the builder
Grindset is a one-person project. Built at the kitchen counter, between shots.
I built this because I wanted a shot logger that actually helped me improve, not just record. The spreadsheet I was using had no idea what machine I was on or what the bean tasted like.
Grindset is live and actively improving. If you find a bug or have an idea, reach out.
If you give it a shot (pun intended) and it helps you pull a better espresso, that's the whole goal.

Why I built this
I got tired of keeping a spreadsheet.
I wanted something that actually
thought with me, not just logged for me.
the morning ritual
Home leads with the coffee you're on — day off roast, last score, and one clear next move.
Start the timer, stop when done. Dose and yield carry over from last time.
New best, or close to it — plus one thing worth trying next. Try it, or keep your recipe.
what's inside
Home shows the coffee you're on and exactly one thing to try next — never a wall of stats.
A score that grades your technique, not a taste it can't actually know. No false confidence.
Best score, most shots, longest streak. Opt-in only — see how you stack up against other baristas.
Your best shot ever, longest streak, and how your ratio has drifted over months — read like a season.
Describe your shot in plain English. Get specific adjustments calibrated to your exact machine.
Roast date, peak window, and when a bag's past its prime — tracked automatically, no math.
"Sour and thin" becomes "grind 1 step finer, increase dose 0.5g." Real translations.
Time every pull. Search, filter, and edit your full shot history.
Share your recipes. Rate others. See what's trending on your beans.

You say
“It's sour and acidic, kind of thin. Pulled in about 22 seconds.”
Dial In
Under-extracted. Short time, sour and thin all confirm it:
Spoiler: their shots are better now.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Washed
Floral, jasmine forward. Took 4 shots to find this.
Worth upgrading from Encore to a flat burr?
Been pulling on my Encore for 2 years, thinking about the Lagom P64. Is the taste difference noticeable or am I just GAS-ing.
